This project which was based in Spain and ended in 2002 was largely managed by SEHUMED, the Spanish wetland centre that is part of the MedWet Scientific and Technical Team. It involved a publication providing methodological recommendation on sampling water, biota and sediments in Ramsar wetlands.
This project which was based in Spain and involved reviewing and adapting the Spanish strategic plan for the conservation and wise use of wetlands to the new Ramsar Strategic Plan.
This project was based in the Drana Lagoon in Greece which is located in the Evros Delta. A proposal was submitted proposing appropriate interventions for the restoration of the lagoon.
European Valuation and Assessment Tools Supporting Wetland Ecosystem Legislation
The project was implemented with the help of many partners aimed and piloted in lake Chimaditida in Greece. It aimed at developing a Wetland Decision Support System (WEDSS) which combines outputs from environmental, stakeholder and economic evaluation tools in line with the EU Water Framework Directive.
