The Donors’ Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems (DIMFE) has launched its 2025 Call for Projects, aimed at supporting concrete actions for the conservation and restoration of freshwater ecosystems across the Mediterranean region.

The call focuses on the following themes:

• Restore and conserve freshwater ecosystems and biodiversity.
• Promote the sustainable and equitable use of water resources.
• Develop long-term financing mechanisms to support freshwater protection

DIMFE will fund projects adopting a holistic and inclusive approach, combining ecological ambition with community engagement, cultural relevance, and long-term sustainability.

Available grants range between €100,000 to €500,000 (co-financing required above €300,000)

The deadline for submitting project proposals is 15 October 2025.
