BirdLife International and DOPPS, the Regional Implementation Team (RIT) for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), invite civil society organizations to apply for small grants in the Mediterranean Basin Biodiversity Hotspot. These grants support crucial conservation efforts and engage local communities.

- Eligible Countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia.
- Grant Size: US$20,000 – US$50,000.
- Total Available: US$540,000.
- LOI Opening: Monday, 9 February 2026.
- LOI Closing: Sunday, 15 March 2026, 23:59 GMT.
- Project Duration: Minimum 12 months, starting 1 August 2026, and completing by 30 September 2027.
Focus Areas
Proposals must align with Strategic Direction 2 from the CEPF Investment Strategy for the Mediterranean Basin: Support the conservation of threatened freshwater biodiversity.
Local and national NGOs will be prioritized.
