The Role Playing Game is based on a scenario about a fictional wetland, the stakeholders involved, the impact of their activities on the physical environment and the wetland’s overall management. The students need to take on the roles of the stakeholders, learn about their activities and plans and through structured dialogue and discussions, find ways to manage issues like land use, agriculture and fishing practices, new investments, pollution etc. Ultimately, they must agree on a common management plan for the wetland. The activity consists of six steps and is designed for students between the ages of 13 to 16.
