Cr\u00e9dit photo : Thierry Riols<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Les sites Ramsar sont des zones humides prot\u00e9g\u00e9es au niveau international, d\u00e9sign\u00e9es pour maintenir un r\u00e9seau international de conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9 et soutenir la vie humaine. Il existe souvent des int\u00e9r\u00eats contradictoires pour la gestion des sites qui conduisent \u00e0 des d\u00e9cisions bas\u00e9es sur des politiques sectorielles ou des approches locales dont les r\u00e9sultats sont m\u00e9diocres en termes d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et de compromis. La directive-cadre europ\u00e9enne sur l\u2019eau (2000\/60\/CE) exige des pays europ\u00e9ens qu\u2019ils favorisent une approche int\u00e9gr\u00e9e de la gestion des zones humides par le biais de processus de gouvernance collaborative. Le contrat environnemental est un outil qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre pour jeter les bases d\u2019engagements volontaires pour la gouvernance durable des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019eau. Cet article pr\u00e9sente les r\u00e9sultats de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude sur la mise en \u0153uvre de contrats environnementaux volontaires au niveau de l\u2019Europe m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne. Nos r\u00e9sultats indiquent que les sites Ramsar de la r\u00e9gion ont fait de grands progr\u00e8s dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration de plans de gestion, mais que de nombreux sites manquent encore de plans de gouvernance impliquant les parties prenantes. Les contrats environnementaux volontaires ont \u00e9t\u00e9 largement utilis\u00e9s dans les sites Ramsar en France et en Italie, mais seuls quelques autres pays europ\u00e9ens ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 les mettre en \u0153uvre.
