Ramsar Convention at CBD COP13

The Ramsar Convention presence at the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP13)

During the 13th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP13) which is being held from 2 to 17 December 2016 in Cancun, Mexico, the Secretary General Martha Rojas-Urrego UNEP Executive Director Erik Solheim signed today the first Memorandum of Understanding between Ramsar and UNEP. The MOU will outline overarching themes which form part of their respective mandates, and a first agreed work plan which follows these themes.
