Mediterranean Coast Day will be celebrated in Annaba, Algeria, on 25 September 2024 under the theme “Women’s Wave for Coastal Sustainability in the Mediterranean”. Despite these difficulties, many women are rising to the challenge, contributing to sustainable development initiatives and leading innovative projects in their communities. Their resilience and leadership are crucial in the fight against environmental degradation. Empowering women to take on leadership roles in coastal management can bring about more inclusive and effective solutions.
