The 11th Seminar of Ramsar Site Managers will take place from 6th to 8th November 2019 in Amiens in the Somme Department (France) in the heart of the Ramsar Site of “Marais et tourbières des vallées de la Somme et de l’Avre” and near the Ramsar Site of the “Baie de Somme”.
The theme of the seminar will be “History and evolution of wetlands in relation to anthropogenic uses: Articulations with the preservation, management and enhancement of these environments“.
The seminar will offer a rich programme of exchanges, workshops, field trips, conferences, etc.
The seminar will be organised in partnership with the Ramsar France Association, the Syndicat Mixte Baie de Somme – Grand Littoral Picard and all the organisations working alongside the Department on the preservation and enhancement of wetlands. It receives financial support from the Agence de l’Eau Artois Picardie and the Danone-Evian Foundation.
