MedWet, a community working for Mediterranean wetlands

The Mediterranean Wetland Initiative (MedWet) is pleased to announce that its new institutional brochure is now available.

The brochure, entitled “MedWet, a community working for Mediterranean wetlands”, is aimed at a diverse and extensive audience, including member countries, international organizations, NGOs and the general public. It explains the MedWet role and how it works. The brochure is available in English and French.

Established in 1991, MedWet is the first and oldest of the Regional Initiatives formally recognized by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. MedWet promotes actions to stop the degradation of wetlands, to restore them, to support the effective conservation of their functions and values, and to facilitate the sustainable use of their resources.
