The MedWet Coordinator Delmar Blasco is pleased to inform that the professionals occupying the other two core, full-time positions at the MedWet Secretariat in France are now on board.
Ms Maïlïs RENAUDIN is the new Communications Officer. She comes with a strong scientific and technical background as Chemical Engineer and has been working on environmental issues during the last eight years, mainly in the field of wetlands conservation, at the local, national and international levels. She has been working as Technical Officer for a project led by Wetlands International on civil society involvement in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and also played a significant role in the communication and organization team of the MedWet Agadir Symposium held in 2012, and as Communication Officer in one of the projects supported by La Tour du Valat (the Pole Relais Lagunes). She has also been a volunteer in the Ramsar France Association and is very familiar with the different cultures in the Mediterranean Basin. And last, but not least, she comes to her new post with great enthusiasm and a lot of initiatives and good ideas. She is fluent in English and French and has notions of Arabic.

Ms Sandra MAURY is the new Executive Assistant. Born and educated in Algeria, she is fluent in Arabic, English and French and has notions of Dioula, Italian and Spanish. She has qualifications that go well beyond the requirements of the post, with a Master of Science in Development and Innovation in the Rural Environment and a diploma as Engineer in Tropical Agriculture. She has worked in rural development projects in several African countries funded by international donors and in France in the fields of human resources development and as research assistant. She has also been actively involved in several civil society organizations.
