In the framework of the MedWet TwinMed project “Twinning of MedWet with SPNL and RSCN for capacity building” two training workshops took place in December 2007. Organized by The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature – RSCN the first workshop took place on 2-4 December in Amman, Jordan followed by the second workshop by SPNL – Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon on 5-7 December in Beirut, Lebanon. During the workshops chaired by the MedWet Policy Advisor presentations were made by three external MedWet Consultants from the National Observatory of Athens and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to address capacity building needs of the participants regarding participatory methodological approaches. The program of the workshops included indoors presentations, consideration of case studies and a participative exercise.
