The Goulandris Museum of Natural History / Greek Biotopes Wetlands Center (EKBY) organised a workshop o­n Natural Ecosystems and Water in the framework of the project Gateway to information o­n natural ecosystems and water, o­n 2-6 February in Athens, Greece.

Addressed to representatives of central and local administration, management bodies of protected areas, the scientific community and professionals in the mangement of environmental resources the workshop aims to consider the water needs of ecosystems.

In addition an exhibition ‘Water: drops of knowledge’ was hosted o­n 2-6 Februaryin the space of the public subway station of Sintagme, in the center of Athens, Greece. The exhibition focuses o­n the relation of water ecosystems and man and the values and benefits of water as well as the activity of EKBY.
